This Privacy Policy explains how Bytescribe, Inc. (“Desque,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Desque helpdesk platform and related websites (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

Account information — name, email address, username, organization details, and credentials you provide when you sign up or are invited to an account.

Customer support data — the tickets, messages, call recordings, voicemails, emails, and attachments you and your customers exchange through the Service.

Billing information — plan and subscription details. Card payments are processed by our payment provider; card numbers are entered directly into the provider's secure fields and never touch our servers.

Usage and device data — log data, IP address, browser type, and actions taken in the Service, used to operate, secure, and improve it.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
• Route, draft, summarize, and triage support conversations, including via AI features;
• Process payments and manage subscriptions;
• Authenticate users and secure accounts;
• Respond to support requests and send service-related communications;
• Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and technical issues.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf — including payment processing, voice and telephony, email delivery, cloud hosting, and AI processing — under contracts that limit their use to providing those services. We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you delete data or close your account, we remove or anonymize it within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

We protect data with encryption in transit and at rest, strict tenant isolation, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to notify you of material incidents as required by law.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Account data is controlled by the organization that owns the account; if you are an end customer, please direct requests to that organization. We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not function without them.

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
